Get used to living in a desert, cause that's about what Mtn Home is.

I'm guessing you work for the 90th?

I miss Alaska a ton. Was there 4 years, 2002-2005

Thanks guys!

Nate- I'm NCOIC of Combat Arms (CATM). We fall under the 3rd SFS. I'm just glad I won't be in an anti-gun/anti-hunting state. It would have KILLED me if I had ended up with orders to California or the east coast! My wife is from North Idaho, so she is happy.

Elmendorf. I work in Ammo. I used to know a few guys in CATM, but I can't remember their names. One guy had a Jeep.

James Hansen has the Jeep. He's one of my troops. I think I may have met you once. Back in 04 I went to Applebees with a bunch of fellow Cummins owners (only one I knew was Brian Melton, AKRAM). I don't know if you were one of the guys there or not. Long time ago...

I didn't want you to feel left out. I mean I had been picking on Steve (Sea04Dmax) so much and you had been left out of all the fun.

I was an Idaho resident years ago. My wife is from Kellogg (Where I bought my Ram!). I'll be glad to get back to the lower 48. I love Alaska, but the winters have finally taken their toll.

If you ask me the winters are worse in Mtn Home. It still gets into the single digits and is very WINDY on base. Plus it doesn't snow much. :-x

Plus it's too freakin HOT in the summer.

yeah.. yeah :-(

C'mon Nate, Mtn Home is a banana belt city!

In 7 years single digits are a rare occurence, so are really hot temps.

When 20 days in July top 112 degress then we complain its HOT, otherwise its just warm. :D

Where I come from we had 9 months winter and 3 months of late fall at times. This is down right tropical.
