crazy lady and her honda

fueling up this lady pulled on the other side of the pump, we stood a sec fueling and she looks over and says:

her: you truck is bad for the environment

me: why

her: because its diesel and it blowes so much black smoke it

kills the ozone

me:my truck dosent smoke hardly at all and Im sure it being

diesel it had good emissions

her: no it dosent and you should drive somthing that dosnet

produce any emissions

me: your honda produces emissions

her: no it dosent

me:you just put petroleum in your car that produces

emissions

her:no i put gas in my car

me: ok have a nice day

It's irrating to me that they don't have a clue about anything diesel.All they do is spit out liberal talking points. I can't stand people like that.:wall::wall:

Thinking along the same lines,why can people in other countries get a vehicle with a small diesel,but we can not get the same one here.

Also have you noticed that diesel fuel is higher then gas.

If you take the price of gas and multiply it times about

20 TO 30% and add it to the price of gas you will come up

to about what a gallon of diesel costs.

A gallon of gas costs $3.70x20%= $4.44 for a gallon of diesel,that is how more efficitent diesel is compared to a gallon of GAS,it will vary a little but not by much.

Also if you remember years ago a gallon of diesel was quite a bit cheaper this is kinda fuzzy math but matbe you get the idea,THANK'S

for sure. i remember when diesel was 18 cents a gallon and was cheaper before i paid attn. i remember whan gas was in the high 20's too but diesel was 18 when gas was 70 cents.

Yep, I remember when LEADED Premium went up to 60 cents a gallon and diesel was less than 40 cents a gallon. I didn't drive a diesel then, couldn't find a 69 Firebird with a diesel engine when I was in high school in 1977.
