Ow! My ankle hurts, can some one help?

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to increase the skinny peddle travel? It is annoying to have to have such a light foot while driving, especially down the freeway. I swear, there is no more then a quarter inch of pedal travel between no fuel and enough fuel to go down the road and up gradual hills. :train:

Has someone made an eccentric or something?

you need to hook the throttle cable / linkage farther out on the arm on the pump, your problem is coming from your linkage being too close to the axis of rotation

There is no higher mounting point on the arms on the pump. I looked on the front of the pump where the throttle cable is, and I looked at the back of the pump where the fueling rod is connected.

I may have to fabricate a longer arm perhaps?

That would do it! Or look at the pedal and see if you can move the cable attachment point there. Sometimes they leave you room to do that. It would be great if there were already different holes to 'fine tune' it a bit. That should help with fuel economy also!!

The engine is in a Ford, no adjustment on the fuel pedal arm. I have the same touchy pedal problem with my HMMWV also. Guess I will have to figure out how to make longer arms for both trucks.

Thanks for the help millco.
