6.4 vs the competition

Recommended Posts

Looked pretty unbiased to me!

I think using a Cummins would have been a better test, I don't even know where to look to buy a "Cummings" motor?

Yeah I know that it is going to be biased. I don't even think the Duramax was an LBZ.

Let's see the 6.7 Cummins and the LBZ Duramax.

The other thing to consider is that was an F450, from a Dig those 4.30 or 4.88 gears are going to be a pretty good sized mechanical advantage anyhow. I'm guessing they went with the 4.88's for the purpose of that video.

The point on gearing is very true, probably make a big difference in that situation. All the manufacturer's propaganda just makes me laugh. I really do hope the 6.4 works good, but I'm not buying a new truck for a long time so I'm not that concerned. :)

In my best Jack Nicholson voice:

Deep down inside, in places you don't talk about in parties you want that 6.0 power. You NEEEEED that 6.0 power.

Internet is fine, I have a cable modem. Just the computer won't run it.

Oh well.. don't really care about Fords anyhow... unless they are on fire and flying off a cliff

Hmmm, must be your internet connection. They play fine here.

They have a break in tune on them. Keeps the people from beating the snot out of them during a test drive. Pretty smart if you ask me.

I might buy one just because flames out the exhaust would be cool! :drool:lol:

Maybe we could use Mike's Blow-by mod and route some of that oil to the tailpipe and you could get some flames that way.

I don't know if we missed this or not.  This was back in 2013 that they built engine number 2,000,000 for Dodge Ram PickUps.  It is a video that follows the engine through it's assembly.  I think it is pretty cool to watch!
