2006 LBZ Suburban

13 posts in this topic

Well I bought a low mileage LBZ engine and 6 speed trans.

My wife's 3/4 ton Suburban is looking like a likely home for it. We talked and she'd like to run it in the 2009 Diesel Power Challenge. I'll build the engine before installing it(rods, pistons, dual cp3's, etc.) Then after the challenge swap the engines from my truck.

I have both computers, fuel tank, engine harnesses. Thinking I'll need main harness, fuel lines, and instrument cluster. Most likely have to make up some drive shafts.

What do you guys think?

Sounds pretty bad ass.

I'm thinking of applying for DPC 09 too. Maybe we'll both be there.

I think I'll do the swap either way, just need to know if the built motor goes into the suburban or my truck. I have emailed David to see if it would be a possiblity for entry.

Sounds like it would be cool. Are you going to put new heads, cam, etc on it too? Are you going to run a similar turbo setup as your truck?

If you're gonna try to put it in DPC, I say put the built motor in the Burb, then swap it to your truck after.
