That truck made an exhibition run at DTC. From what I understand, that dude sprays the hell outta that truck. It is quite impressive regardless. If he doesn't have one already, he's gonna have to get a roll bar.

Ya eh! Hey, I'm Bob Mckenzie, and this is my brother Doug eh.

Strange Brew at the dragstrip!

So back on subject. Earlier was posted it took a lot of money to put the 6.0 in the 12's. What all was done to the truck?

Compound turbos, injectors, whole new fuel system, trans, nitrous. Probably close to $20K+. Then you are in the 11's. I'm pretty sure that Rob C doesn't have quite that much into his truck

Just to put it into some basic $$$ terms

Injectors ~$3,500

Fuel system ~$2,500

Compounds ~$8,000

Trans ~$1500

Torque converter ~$1500

Headstuds ~$600 for parts ~$2500 labor

Fire ring to hold the boost ???

Custom tuning ~$500

Nitrous Kits ~$800

I just caught that. I think that $1500 is a little to chincy for a truck with that kind of power.

Not a whole tranny... a kit.... Suncoast extreme kit is ~$900. If you play it right either you know how to do it or you have a friend you might be able to do it for less. Billet input shaft is ~$250. Although the transmission in this truck I believe is built for racing by NADP so make that $1500 x about 2.5....

That truck is very impressive. I believe he is now one of the 6.0's on record. And thats in a daily driver crew cab with full interior. He actually towed a competitor down from Canada to the Diesel Power Challenge with that truck.

Truck is down right nasty.

You are correct, Jacob. Those are home built twins. There was an article about him in Diesel Power some time ago. The guy was almost late to his own wedding because he was finishing some last minute things on his setup.

The thing that stuck out in my mind was the quote from his understanding fiancee. "Whatever it takes to make it one of the fastest out ther...."
