Some of the best trout fishing in the world is not far from Idaho Falls. Just a two hour drive up to Yellowstone.

youll have a couple hr drive for good sturgeon (twin falls area), most popular around here (I.F.) is the snake river, henrys fork is only and hr from I.F.. mostly trout fishing but there is some good bass and walleye down by twin falls. just because the lakes and resivours freeze over dont mean it kills the fish.

Fishing whats that? lol The boat is still hooked to the dodge. Good bass down here are in the 5lb-8lb range and that is nothing to what california has got. Im not from that area so can't really help you there. But if you are ever going through the Payette area hit me up and we will go fishing.

using bait only results in catching fish, I recomend just sticking with cold ones...

Henry's Fork up near St Anthony is supposed to be some great trout fishing. I don't think that is really Salmon and Steelhead territory.

Salmon Idaho is about the closest...almost 4 hours from you. BTW, Salmon fishing was over late July.
