Some Ideas

Recommended Posts

Grind your fuel pin, replace the plastic washer with a rubber o-ring, replace factory fuel stops, governor spring, power screw, and grind the AFC lever. After these modifications the fuel shut-off solenoid will become problemsome, it will need to be modified also. The rest is tuning, and making things work properly ie: idle quality, avoiding runaway condition, and adjusting pre-boost fueling.

Here is a picture of the AFC lever that is often ground flat.

You can grind your own fuel pin similiar to the aftermarket pins from various vendors. I replace the high and low fuel stop studs with M6 bolts to allow more travel in each direction. The picture of the AFC lever has not been modified, most grind the small foot off flat with the rest of the lever. The increase in fuel pressure will damage the rubber fuel shut-off plunger, so it will need to be removed or machined down to the aluminum surface and adjusted to work properly.
