My new speedo

Ok not that kind of speedo. I got a speedo from a 94 Ford lightning with the 120mph speedo. The one that my truck came with is just a 80 mph.

Tom, the bet is still on once we can get out to Firebird. May/June?

Your Ford vs my Dodge. Bring the video camera, print out flyers, buy radio ads...

Looser buys lunch, no McDs either!

I'm interested in knowing how this was done. Did you replace only the speedo? Or did you replace the entire cluster?

This mod should be written up and put in the Tips/Tricks thread. Hint, hint.

I was wondering too, are the numbers closer together on the lightning speedo? to get to 120, and also what about the odom/tripometer, did you swap those or inheret the lightnings mileage?

Yes i just replaced the speedo itself.

Dan the numbers are alot closer together. But i have to use the mileage from the lightning. Which to me dont really matter. I was told along time ago that there is a chip or something in the speedo itself that you can change to keep your mileage.

If you guys are interested i could do a writeup on this.
