Dually to Single Wheel Conversion

Recommended Posts

Ok, fellas - I may have ran across a real good deal on a 98 Quad Cab 4X4 dually and am wondering what all is involved in a conversion to a single wheel?

Obviously, I would need to locate a long box bed. I have no idea how the duals work. Can you just take off the outer set of wheels?

What do you guys think? Let me have it...

the rear axle is i belive longer on the dually and you will need to take off the front wheel spacers and then get the correct back spacing for the rears to match up with the fronts also just get pocket flars and take off the dualy fenders this would be the cheap way of doing it

Well, I just talked to the guy again....I think ill take a pass on it. He didnt tell me it spent it first 9 years as a farm truck. Its also a 3.5 hour drive (each way) to look at it.
