Now there is a rock crawler.
Kind of like the old 1951 Willys I used to own. 350 CID Chey 4 bolt mains with a 350 Turbo transmission.
Thats a sweet willys.
Heres the rear axle im building for it.
Wrap around bumper. Cut off lower fenders
My sone running the tube bender.
Well be doing links on dodge and jeep soon. My mind get carried away at times. Though ive started simplify track bar ideas in my head.
Well get to work on dodge axle mount for track bar. The factory track bar is od sized mount. Like 1 3/4 wide on axle end. Im assuming the jeep shares the same size bushing. Well be bumping it to a standerd 2" wide bushing.
The tie rod end on track bar will be scrapped to
2x8x3/16 sliders grafted into the unibody
Will some day tie tube fenders into sliders and numpers
Next is long arms and steering
Ummm... Those spider gears look a bit welded up. How will that behave with the transfer case in 4WD? I'm wondering...
Good. Same as spool.
My current dana 35 is welded the same. I drive it around town alittle but mostly on dirt. Itl definitely wear the tires out if on the pavent alot.
Front axle pops alittle because ive got a broken ujoint cap and because itl load the right tire then transfer to left tire. Ive been holding off on fixing it because i also have a front axle im putting in it that runs bigger u joints. But i may have to just fix it since im taking so long on rear axle. Im in the middle of plumbing disc brakes on it
Crap. I need to do motor mounts to
More of the axle.
Sometimes its scarey the first time but its not that bad ounce you just do it
Shaved and plated the bottom to help it slide over trees and rocks
These are ruff stuff covers. Ill be putting one on dodge one of these years. Would be cool to have a steering stabalizer anchored to cover, even though stabalizers arent needed.
Flanges are 1/2" and rest is 3/8"
Mini dodge front end.
