We are looking to get the photo shoot done in a minimal amount of time so please try to arrive at 10:00 am.
  2. I don't know if we missed this or not. This was back in 2013 that they built engine number 2,000,000 for Dodge Ram PickUps. It is a video that follows the engine through it's assembly. I think it is pretty cool to watch! Cummins Builds Ram Engine # 2 Million

  4. I've almost always felt this way: Don't buy a hybrid because in the long run they are more expensive. Heck, if you want to be an 'environmentalist' then these things are bad that way too: Expensive, and costly to make batteries and other components that are special to only the hybrids. Here's the way I feel about all this: I am an environmentalist! A true one! I believe in burning the whole tree! Don't waste any of it (Look up Ben Franklin!)........ LOL But, seriously; the whackos are trying to save the environment by crushing all 'clunkers' on the road. They don't figure in how much energy is wasted in throwing away all of the vehicles that are perfectly fine for a lot of jobs still and having to manufacture new ones from scratch. A lot of materials and energy go into making a rig! Another pet peeve of mine would to not have special, proprietary parts that only fit one vehicle for only 6 months before redesigning them. All the manufactures are bad about that. It would be so much cheaper on all of us (Not to mention better for the environment!) if there were a lot more common parts between the rigs we drive daily!! Well, anyway; the reason for this post is to talk you out of a hybrid. There are a lot of vehicles out there (Not just Geo Metro's) that can get pretty good mileage. When you compare them to the hybrids, there just isn't enough savings to justify buying a hybrid over conventional technology!! Besides: Look at all the diesel powered rigs in this line up!! http://www.mpgomatic.com/25-fuel-efficient-cars-that-are-not-hybrids/?var=5&utm_source=taboola&utm_medium=mashable
  5. I'm looking for a Dodge truck from about 1990 to 1995 in good running condition. I really don't want to go over $3,000 but I would consider it for the right truck. It's going to be for my son for graduation. We had a 1991 and I think it was the best truck we ever had. Please let me know if you have or if you know someone who has one for sale. I do have a 1999 Ford Taurus with around 90,000 miles to maybe work some sort of a trade if anyone is interested.
  6. DiPricol Optix gauge

Hi. Well, here's the deal I got a Optix Fuel PSI guage in the mail I was supposed to get a tranny temp gauge. Seeing if anyone wants to horse trade for it. Or swap me for an equally nice Tranny Temp gauge like Isspro or AutoMeter. This gauge is NIB. Throw me an offer. The gauge is black face with red/orange needle full sweep with green led back light. 9. 6" mitres

Welp, decided to get them installed, waiting for the powder coater, pat already has the pipe and needs to cut it and get a y-pipe kit, doing dual 6" mitres 36" tall, and a 5" y-pipe kit. The stacks and y-pipe kit will all be welded, but going into the dpf/cat delete pipe will be just clamped so I can just slip it back in for emissions:td:. Anyways, will post pics when it's done.
  10. I posted these pics in a 6.4 thread, just didn't seem right. So we now have a new forum to discuss Fords new Superduty coming out in 2010.

  19. Flame thrower

Ford announced today that they are recalling all 34,000ish 2008 Super Dutys with the 6.4, because of a fuel leak that causes fuel to ignite in one of the after treatment something or others, resulting in a flame coming out of the tail pipe! Supposedly it only happens when the vehicle is performing its regeneration stuff in the cat or where ever it happens. So far there are three confirmed cases of this happening.
